The Picture below are from the layout while it has been set up at the store.
This
sight was made possible by Ron and David Johnson, two of the members of the BLN
club. Only about a month ago, the floor up here wasn't even visible. There was
stuff piled chest high in all directions. Thank you to you both for all your
hard work.
Here
is a view of Procrastination Yard. The five tracks to the right are going to be
Procrastination Station. To the right of the modules will be another two foot
wide section containing downtown Procrastination as well as the Procrastination
Urban Transit System, PUTS.
This
is Procrastination roundhouse. I still need to add a concrete floor and interior
details but so for it is looking good. The paint shop will be to the left of the
round house. I'm hoping to get it installed in the next couple of weeks
This is one of my latest Projects. It has working headlights, taillights and a
flashing beacon on the roof. I'm still not sure where it will go on the layout.
Here
is my first ever attempt at building a dump truck. It is a Alloy forms kit with
chains added to the rear door and a scratch built canvas cover. I actually made
the canvas roll out of a paper sandwich bag.
Here we see the dump truck in it's final location looking like it has seen years of faithful service.
Its
a sad day In Thompsonville. Old man Sedgwick passed away on Tuesday while trying
to use a old mattress as a make sift raft out on Lumpy Lake. Police believe
alcohol may be involved but those who know him said he was just a moron.
Now
what's this? Why Old lady Sedgwick is getting married! Her late husband's body
isn't even in the ground yet. I can't believe she left her husbands funeral to
get married, something smells fishy here.
Here
we see our local hippies, Dink and Doink Filtzwater hiding from the cops. I have
to thank my cousin, Inglis Tucker, for the fabulous paint job on the car. I
still need to install the smoke unit in the car.
Here
we see New Haven 0-8-0 #3404 leaving the coaling tower and heading for the
turntable. I'm hoping to have this entire area finished soon.
Here
is New Haven #3404 again after moving BLN plow #1 to the end of the southern
drill track in Procrastination yard.
Here
Is a better picture of BLN plow #1 as it sits at the end of the southern drill
track in Procrastination yard. Everyone is careful around this car cause it's
believed that one good sneeze could destroy it.
This
is the Lee King Grain Company in Thompsonville. Eventually there will be an
abandoned box car rotting away at the end of the siding as it sits in the weeds.
Welcome
to Lumpy Lake. Captain John J. Smith was out in his yacht today when his wife,
the honorable Judge Millicent V. Smith removed a piece of duct tape that was
stopping a leak in the hull. They plan on resurrecting the yacht and making it
seaworthy again. On the shore the Hapsworth family doesn't even seem to notice
what has happened.
Here we see one of the last moments the Smith family
spent on board their yacht. Captain smith was heard yelling from the shore but
the language he was using is not able to be written down due to the fact that
after censoring the only words left were a, the, pickle jar, forthright, and
cheese eating cocker spaniel.
This morning when Arthur and Mildred Tuttle decided to go for a romantic boat ride down the river, neither one of them remembered Putrid Falls. I'm not quite sure but I have a sneaking suspicion that they may remember it now.
While
out picking flowers for his girlfriend, Frederick Slocum looked up in horror to
see two of his friends about to plummet to their demise. Unfortunately, It seems
he was so engrossed in picking flowers that he failed to notice little Bertram
the bear and his mother come strolling along. There is talk that his girlfriend
had just given him some new cologne called Springtime honeysuckle. Not exactly
the best choice with Bertram around.
Here
is another shot of Putrid Falls with BLN #0900 heading to Brownsville with a
couple of cars that were left in the yard by mistake.
Welcome to Sleep Hollow's south end. This is where the Bear Mountain Ice Cream Company is located. Here we see BLN #2100 leaving after switching the plant.
Here
is another view Of Sleepy Hollow's south end. Officer Arthugula is out stopping
speeders today but he isn't likely to get anyone as the covered bridge has stop
signs at either end. I guess he just needed somewhere quiet to eat his donuts
Here is downtown Sleepy Hollow. There isn't much to it except for the Cunard Lee Rolls Royce dealership, the Sleepy Hollow part time volunteer fire department ,Auntie Q's BBQ and some old guys antiques. The street in the picture is Bank street, known for it's seedy characters. As everyone from the area knows, if it's illegal, you can find it on Bank Street.
More Pictures to come soon.....
